Redmi recently announced themselves as an independent brand under xiaomi and now they are up with a bang. They have launched their first smartphone as an independent brand and trust me guys, I am literally shaken. The phone is nothing too exceptional or something very innovative, but the price in which it is launched in china is extremely shocking. Redmi has laucnched the Redmi Note 7, their first device as an independent brand. Let me first tell you about the pricing. The pricing starts at 999 yuan for the base variant which roughly converts to 10,370 INR. Now let’s get through the main highlights of the device.

• The device is powered by a Snapdragon 660 octacore SoC which is built on the 14 nm process an is clocked at 1.8 Ghz. The processor features the kryo 260 cores.

• The device comes with a best-in-its-class 48 MP camera but this time its a samsung sensor and not a sony one. The 48MP shooter is accompanied by a 5 MP depth sensing camera.

• The device comes with a 6.3 inch full HD+ IPS LCD Panel with a dewdrop notch design.

• The Phone comes with a 13 MP front-camera which supports HDR.

• The phone is backed by a 4000 mAh battery which officially supports quick charging 4+ but you only get a 10W charger in the box which is pretty acceptable considering the price point.

• The device comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB Type-C port.

• The device runs Xiaomi’s custom skin MIUI 10 on top of Android 9.0 pie.

• The phone comes with Corning Gorilla Glass Protection and a gradient finish design on the back which looks quite modern and stylish, not too elegant though.

• Xiaomi claims that the phone is splash-resistant though there is official IP rating on the device.

 The phone comes in three variants 3 GB RAM 32 GB storage, 4GB RAM with 64 GB storang and 6 GB of RAM with 64 GB of storage. The pricing for the 3/32 GB variant is 999 yuan (Roughly 10,300 INR) . 4/64 GB variants costs 1199 yuan (Roughly 12,500 INR) and the 6/64 GB variant costs 1399 yuan (Roughly 14,500 INR).
