ONEPLUS NORD ROUND-UP

So what is all the hype about? Well, it's a Oneplus devices and deserves the hype and Oneplus' marketing has always been one of the best in the android smartphone market. I like the approach of Oneplus of how they are creating an insane amount of hype for the device. So, what's the secret formulae of Oneplus? Well, it has to be Oxygen OS. Close-to-stock, minimum bloatware, a proper dark-mode and extremely snappy experience is what makes Oxygen OS so good and its visually appealing too. I won't particularly say it's secure, well, no Chinese smartphone is, but still somewhat better than India's No. 1 smartphone brand😆😆. So, let's go through what's in the recipe of the highly awaited Oneplus Nord. 

CONFIRMED SPECIFICATIONS

1. The display is gonna be an Super AMOLED display. I was actually waiting for this to get confirmed before writing anything about the Oneplus Nord. It will be a 90Hz panel with support for HDR10 of course. Most probably a 6.4-6.5 inch panel and with dual-punch hole camera. 

2. According to an Android-authority exclusive, the camera set-up is going to be 48 MP quad lens setup with an 8 MP Wide-angle lens and two other for macro and depth.

3. The design of the device has already been showcased by Oneplus in an IGTV video and will come with a glass back. The grey sort of color has also been confirmed.

4. The phone will support up to 30 watts of Warp Charge 30T as confirmed by various certification websites.

5. The device will most importantly powered by a Snapdragon 765G SoC which is based on a 7nm process and is confirmed by Oneplus themselves and 6GB of base RAM going by Oneplus' track record. 

6. 5G connectivity and Bluetooth 5.1 of-course due to SD 765G SoC.

7. Oxygen OS 10 on top of Android 10.

RUMORED SPECIFICATIONS

1. The battery is expected to be 4300 mAh according to various leak-stars

2. The front is expected to be a dual-camera set-up with 32 MP primary sensor and an 8MP secondary wide angle lens.

3. Stereo speakers is not confirmed as of now.

4. An in-display FP scanner is expected but not confirmed.

5. The 3.5mm jack might be missing. 

6.  The device might come with an UFS 2.1 storage. 

    

    Now, talking about the expected price, according to my calculations, must be just under 25K INR to reach a bigger target audience. Oneplus has marketed this device as a device for the masses and there isn't any mass market above 25K INR in India and with the recent launch of Realme and Realme X3 superzoom in the 25-30K segment I don't think Oneplus is going to position it there. But anything under 25K will shake the market. The device has two major perks, first the 765G which is the first time in India and Second, an AMOLED display with a higher refresh rate. The device is going to launch on 21st of July at around 7:30 PM IST. So, let's hope we get a very good device from Oneplus at an attractive price.
